Maris Interiors are a high specification workplace refurbishment specialist operating predominately in the London area.
Maris approached WKCS to provide a design and build solution for their clients four storey town house located in the heart of Mayfair. The client required a rear extension to the lower ground floor, significant structural alterations and a new penthouse style roof extension to the fourth floor.
WKCS undertook the design work and were the principal subcontractor throughout the entire build period. Lower ground floor works were particularly challenging, where at one point much of the building was propped on super jacks allowing the removal of intermediate walls and the installation of large quantities of steel work.
With a wealth of experience in the industry, WKCS were able to offer invaluable advice and provide cost-effective solutions throughout the whole of the alteration program. Some of the logistical and operational problems were immense with over 300 tonnes of materials being bought through a four-foot wide court yard entrance.
